Mikki95210@aol.com I was so very impressed with your page. I visited the Marine fish, the cross stitch page and thought the roses were lovely. I love the kind of cross stitch that looks like a picture. Last but not least, I visited your tribute to Princess Diana. I have followed her life since the day she married Prince Charles. As an American, I don't understand the Royalty issues, but to us, Diana always seemed like a real person, sort of like the "Girl Next Door" as we say here in America. Her passing was such a shock to all of us. We were all grief stricken over it. Diana was truly a Princess to the World. I hope you will also visit my web site at http://www.geocities.com/RodeoDrive/Mall/2602/ and see the lovely dolls I make. Hope to see you soon. Mikki McBride 2/6/98 |

She is the Mother of two outstanding sons, the product of more difficutly than one from this shore (US) can understand and contributed to the general welfare of mankind in lauditory fashion during her short life. I say all above having lost another divine female but at the age of sixteen. I truely understand depervation. Major78@aol.com 14/6/98 |

Could anyone give me info on small rentals to stay in and the best time to come. I would like to come next year and do some geneology research, my father was born in Hull. dougj@statsci.com Seattle, Washington, USA. Visited the "Bridlington and Flamborough Head" web site to see the landscape where my father's father's father was born. A mechanical engineer, he emigrated to Ararat, Victoria, in 1854 during the Australian gold rush. My grandfather was born in Ararat, went to sea after the turn of the century, and eventually settled near Los Angeles, where I was born. Johnsons all, and none of us has stayed in the place where he was born. Me? A registered professional engineer (mechanical, of course) and former submariner, turned software engineer. Nice web-site music! ("Norwegian Wood": one of my all-time favourites.) 7/8/98 |

jjpanddp@gatewy.net You have a wonderful page! My mother's maiden name was Gilbert and I have just begun to research her paternal family line. I was looking at ll the Gilberts on the Yahoo search page and chose yours.Wouldn't it be funny if my research lead back to some of your ancestors too? Mother passed away in 1994 and left very little information about her family. She did tell me that she traced her father's family back to the Townsends somewhere in England; but left no clue as to where they were. I don't have a web page yet as we just bought our computer last May. My husband and I live in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A., called Worthington. We have two grown sons and three grandsons.I like to garden too! Judy Peterson 8/9/98 |

marmann@muenster.de Hi Gilbert, it's nice to see that there are other people who love Bridlington. Although I have been there just once I still want to go there once again. I'd be interested in getting in touch with you. Well, I'm doing teacher training and doing this, I'm studying English and French. Maybe that we could get in touch, because I'd like to get to know people just as you in England. Ok, that's it for today, but remember to eMail me. Yours, Christina Marmann 14/10/98 |

bjcj@cts.com Hi! I signed in your guest book more than a year ago when I was visiting my son in Idaho. He introduced me to my first experience on the internet. I found your page then because of my great interest in Flamborough and all things Flamborian. I am now at last on the internet myself, at my own home in Carlsbad, California, near San Diego. I'm having a great time. I decided to come back and visit you again. What a change! Your new site is fabulous. But of course the Flamborough pictures take precedence. I'm trying to wangle another trip back there next year. Next time you go, say hello to the lighthouse for me. It was there that my husband, (then-to-be), first told me he loved me, 39 years ago. Thanks for bringing back the good memories. 30/10/98 (DG - Thanks for coming to see again!) |

redbud@mail.clis.com This has been the best web page. I cried when I read the letter written about Princess Diana, it says everything I felt in my heart. She was the best inspiration in my life as a mental ill person. I try to follow her in the deeds of kindness and charity for others. Yes, she had the most beautiful smile..a small vision from a truly beautiful soul. I can't say enough of all the wonderful things Princess Diana has done for the world as everyone knows. It is her example for us to share ourselves even in small ways to others for a better place on earth. God looked down and saw an angel that did good works and when her job for which she was sent to do was done, he called her. Please hold out your hand and help one person to have a better life. Smile and give a compliment to 3 people everyday. Love each other... Thank you for letting me to finally share my thoughts with others. Kay 6/11/98 |
Bomberman@horncastle.freeserve.co.uk Hi I have got to do a project on flambrough head and about costal erosion and have enjoyed looking at your pictures if you have more information about flamborough and costal erosion please please could you send me it Thankyou Mike Johnson Age 15 Gcse Student 11/11/98 |
mirek.marcanik@telecom.co.nz Well, what a small world. There I was, searching the net for Aquariums to get a couple of photographs of shoals of fish and what did I see. "Flamborough and Bridlington". Back in 1958-61 I was stationed in Bridlington at the North Eastern School of Wireless Telegraphy training to be a Radio Officer. The views you have presented here have brought back a host of wonderful memories of times past. Having passed my certificate I left for sea and ended up residing in Wellington, New Zealand. I wonder if there are any other ex NESWT Radio Officers out there who have visited this site and were training there during the late 50's and early 60's. Great site, great memories. P.S. whatever happened to the Flamborough Head lifeboat shed and ramp??. I also see that the old Bridlington Spa Ballroom still seems to be there. Had some phenominal dances there. 13/11/98 |
rigel@datacomm.ch Interesting site that co-incides with our interests. I`ll take a longer look when I`ve fed the kids. Cheers, Bazzo. 13/11/98 |
phillips@southwest.com.au I will get back to you later when I have had a good look at your page. 16/11/98 |
chrisengleman Loved your page! Your garden is wonderful, my husband and I are trying to do our back yard, a little at a time, so I know what kind of work goes into it! I must, however, disagree with your asessment of Lilliput Lane. I am a tried and true (240+ pieces) fan of David Winter. But we can agree to disagree. :) Take care, Christine 17/11/98 |
h.middleton@cableinet.co.uk Came upon this site by someone recommending it as a source on how to do french knots in my cross stitch-these dratted things always beat me. hawkeye@mnsi.net Just happen to be browsing home pages with similair names as my self. Gilbert is a very popular name as well as the name David. I know my ancestors go back to England. The first Gilbert was a Mathew Gilbert who landed on the East shore of the states in the early 1600's. I am his 11th generation. His Great Grandson Isaac Gilbert was a Queen's Ranger and Settled after the war in Southern Ontario about 3 hours east of where I live right now. I am his 8th Generation. I have 3 children, Isaac 10 (named after his forefather), Courtney 9yrs, and Brandon who is 6. Maybe were related some how in the past. It would be interesting to pick up the geanology to England one day. Anyways, drop me a line if you want. I don't have a web page yet. But I have a brother in Hawaii and he has a web page. Check it out at http://www.aloha.net/~gilbert/ Anyways talk to ya soon. And by the way you have a great looking family and a kool web page. Sincerly David Gilbert 30/12/98 |
adrianj@worsfold98.freeserve.co.uk A very rewarding site. Most interested in the cross stitch and got my mother to look at the examples (I put one of her's on my site). It is beneficial, however, to download highest quality photos and split the pages if necessary - in any case, we download photos realising it takes time. It might be better to offer frames and keep the menu available throughout. But I like it a lot and this is what a good personal site should be! Adrian Worsfold 31/12/98 |

Mikki95210@aol.com Hi: I really loved seeing your X-stitching. They are beautiful. X-Stitch is my 2nd favorite hobby. I make porcelain dolls and that takes up most of my time. Hope you have a chance to visit my page too. http://www.geocities.com/RodeoDrive/Mall/2602/ Thanks, Mikki Mikki's Doll Studio 3/1/99 |

BOBCINDYCLARK@prodigy.net I have enjoyed your website.I'm a collector of Diana "things". I have been doing it since I was fourteen years old. I can't tell you how devestated I was when my husband woke me up to show me the morning paper. I thought it was a hoax. To my disbelief it wasn't. I hope someday I may come to England. That is my "fantasy" vacation, maybe once my boys grow up and leave the nest that just might come true for me. Cindy Clark 4/1/99 |
rjgerla@pathway.net I have thoroughly enjoyed your site - I will return! Kay Gerlach 9/1/99 |
